Allakaket Geography
Allakaket is located at 66°33'48" North, 152°38'50" West (66.563343, -152.647154).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.2 km2 (4.3 mi2). 9.3 km2 (3.6 mi2) of it is land and 1.9 km2 (0.7 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 17.05% water.
Allakaket Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there are 97 people, 41 households, and 18 families residing in the city. The population density is 10.4/km2 (27.0/mi2). There are 59 housing units at an average density of 6.3/km2 (16.4/mi2). The racial makeup of the city is 4.12% White, and 95.88% Native American.There are 41 households out of which 26.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 31.7% are married couples living together, 7.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 53.7% are non-families. 53.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.37 and the average family size is 3.68.
In the city the population is spread out with 23.7% under the age of 18, 19.6% from 18 to 24, 22.7% from 25 to 44, 25.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.2% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 32 years. For every 100 females there are 142.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 155.2 males.
The median income for a household in the city is $16,563, and the median income for a family is $33,125. Males have a median income of $13,750 versus $35,417 for females. The per capita income for the city is $10,912. 12.9% of the population and 11.8% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 12.5% of those under the age of 18 and 0.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
