Beaver is a town located in Carroll County, Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 95.

Beaver Geography

Beaver is located at 36°28'32" North, 93°46'16" West (36.475495, -93.771170).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.3 km2 (0.5 mi2). 0.9 km2 (0.3 mi2) of it is land and 0.4 km2 (0.2 mi2) of it is water. The total area is 32.69% water.

Beaver Demographics

As of the census of 2000, there are 95 people, 37 households, and 27 families residing in the town. The population density is 104.8/km2 (271.0/mi2). There are 43 housing units at an average density of 47.4/km2 (122.7/mi2). The racial makeup of the town is 96.84% White, 0.00% Black or African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 2.11% from other races, and 1.05% from two or more races. 2.11% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 37 households out of which 29.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.2% are married couples living together, 5.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 27.0% are non-families. 21.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 2.81.

In the town the population is spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 23.2% from 25 to 44, 29.5% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who are 65 years of age or older.
