MAP GOES HERE

Brunswick is a city located in Frederick County, Maryland. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 4,894.

Established along the now-defunct Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, the town became a hub for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, who built a six mile long rail yard along the Potomac from 1891 to 1912, boosting the population to over 5000, and making Brunswick a company town. It now is home to a commuter rail station serving Washington, D.C., and also home of the Brunswick Railroad Museum that shows the history of the city, and is home of a large model railroad showing why Brunswick's location was important to the railroad.

Perhaps the most famous resident of the city was the American singer Patsy Cline, including cartographer Karl Musser, and the eccentric James Johnson.
